Dubai is about a 3–4 hour flight from most Indian metros, which makes it one of the easiest international holidays — for families, couples and first-time travellers alike.

01Visa basics for Indians

Most Indian passport holders need a UAE tourist visa arranged before travel, usually through the airline, a travel company or an approved visa service. Some travellers holding certain valid visas or residence permits (for example from the US, UK or EU) may qualify for a visa on arrival. Rules change, so confirm the current requirement before you book flights.

02Best time to visit

November to March is the best season — warm days and pleasant evenings, perfect for the desert. April and October are hot; June to September is extremely hot, though hotel rates are lowest and most attractions are indoors.

03A 5-day Dubai plan

  1. Day 1: Arrive, evening at Dubai Marina and a dhow dinner cruise.
  2. Day 2: City tour — Jumeirah, the Palm, old Dubai souks and an abra ride; evening at Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountain.
  3. Day 3: Free morning; afternoon desert safari with dune drive, sunset and dinner at a desert camp.
  4. Day 4: Day trip to Abu Dhabi — Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the Corniche, or a theme park.
  5. Day 5: Shopping at Dubai Mall or the gold souk, then fly home.

04What does it cost?

Our Dubai city break starts from ₹33,000 per person for 4 nights / 5 days (land package, October 2026). Add flights, visa and any paid attractions you choose. Prices rise around Diwali, Christmas and New Year.

05Useful tips

  • Dress modestly at mosques and traditional areas; carry a scarf
  • Metro and taxis are easy; the metro has a women-and-children carriage
  • Indian food and vegetarian restaurants are everywhere
  • Book Burj Khalifa time slots in advance for sunset
